Habitat Morin-Heights is an RPA-certified, serviced seniors' residence for people aged 75 and over or with a slight loss of autonomy. The project will be located in the heart of the village, close to Chalet Bellevue.
The residence will include thirty 3 ½ complete units at affordable prices. Services offered to residents will consist of lunch and dinner and 24-hour supervision seven days a week.
This project is being carried out under the AccèsLogis Program of the Société d'habitation du Québec. Depending on household income, future tenants will be eligible for the tax credit for home support and may also benefit from the housing support program (PSL).
The Municipality initiated the project in 2018 with the help of the LogiLoge group, a resource specialized in this type of project that will accompany the team until the building is delivered. As of 2019, the Municipality has created a non-profit organization to ensure proper management and start of operation. The Habitat Morin-Heights committee comprises two members of the Municipality and three senior citizens.
Construction began in mid-November 2023 and will take just over a year to complete, ending by the end of 2024.
Habitat Morin-Heights will be very welcoming to the community of Morin-Heights. It will attract new businesses and jobs to the center of the village of Morin-Heights.

It’s like a dream come true. I’m a caregiver for my mother that live alone and as she will needing more of my care I would love to have her near me, I’m my favourite place in the world, beautiful Morin-Heights. Where do we apply for a visit and renting ?
I would love to see something like this for my son with autism. He can live alone but needs some supervision and meals provided.
